Intel unveils all the details about it's Core i9 CPU lineup

While AMD unleashed its Threadripper CPU out in the wild, Intel is finally ready to share full specifications for its higher-end Core i9 (Skylake-X) processors, including its flagship Core i9-7980XE, an Extreme Edition chip with 18 physical cores and 36 threads. The 12-core Core i9-7920X launches August 28 while the 14, 16, and 18-core Core i9 chips ship on September 25. Intel's lineup until today had packed with the Core i9-7900X, the 10-core and 20 threads Skylake-X. Also, we have the price sheet from both counter part. So now we can get a better sense of the price/performance mix. I have decided to put everything i table so that anyone can sense the difference at any price point easily.

After seeing this table again and again i only have one thing to say. AMD is taking the fight to Intel in terms of pricing, offering higher cores and better I/O for much cheaper prices. And the fight is too much one stream that Intel doesn't really have any chance to win here. Just take the two $1000 CPU from both companies. AMD is offering 16-core/32-thread CPU with 32MB L3 cache in $1000 where Intel is offering only a 10-core/20-thread CPU consisting 13.75MB of L3 cache. If you love Intel so much then you have to spend $700 more to get a 16-core/32-thread 7960X CPU. Which is really ridiculous. If i forget everything there are in the consideration and just consider Price/Core then Intel is asking $125 for per core in 7890XE model and $100 in $7900X model where AMD is charging only $62.5 per core for top of the line Threadripper 1950X CPU. I think its wise to not say anything more. Do your math please.
