System requirements for Windows 10 Technical Preview

Hello everyone. I am running Windows 10 Technical Preview for the last 5/6 hours. And in one word I have to say it’s awesome. By saying awesome I mean it’s surely the update version for any Mouse-Keyboard controlled Windows 8/8.1 system. As you know Windows 8 introduced the touch-prioritized Metro design with live tiles and removed key elements of Windows 7, disrupting the familiar look and feel for long-time Windows users. The changes were representative of an overall acceleration of Microsoft's unification of its touch-enabled mobile devices with its desktop and laptop software. Those changes found many critics and detractors.

    Windows 10 improvements

So Microsoft is trying its best to resolve the issues of Windows 8 at this moment with broader platform reach on mind. I will discuss those issues in another post. Here I am posting the system requirements of Windows 10 Technical Review installation. Luckily it isn’t anything different from your current system criteria.
    Processor: 1 GHz or faster
    RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
    Hard disk space: 16 GB
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
Monitor: To run apps you need a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768
To access the Windows Store you need an internet connection and a Microsoft account

    Windows 10 Software Compatibility

I installed Windows 10 on my 13.6GB partition and the original installation took almost 10GB space with only Chrome installed. Another good news is The OS only using 512MB RAM at idle at this point, which seems lowest after Windows XP era. Microsoft will send you notifications beginning on April 1, 2015 to remind you that it’s time to upgrade your PC to a newer version. And you have 15 more days from that point to upgrade your PC. By that time I am sure that consumer beta od the Windows 10 will be available.
