Updating is fun: Any existing users need only $39.99 to use Windows 8

For the last 3 years Apple continuously decreased the price of their Operating system. In 2012 you only need to spend $20 to buy Mac OS license for your home PCs. Traditionally Microsoft asks a lot more than that. But with ne upcoming Windows 8 the scenario can be changed. Microsoft has announced on its Windows blog that those who are already running Windows on their current PC, are eligible to a Windows 8 Pro upgrade for only $39.99. Your current operating system must be licensed and Windows XP, Vista and 7 users are welcomed for the offer.

When you use Windows.com to purchase an upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant makes upgrading simple by walking you through the upgrade process step-by-step from purchase to download and then of course installation.
